I've been playing music for 45 years, starting on the clarinet in Waukegan, Ill, under Bernard Stiner. I attended North Texas State U and studied jazz and improvisation with Rich Matteson, completing a music degree at San Diego State University getting some invaluable tips on mprovisation from the bop great Charles McPherson.

Yes, I Shouldn't
In addition to playing with bands and recording, I have been performing as a solo sax with backing tracks. This allows me to bring quality backgrund music to many kinds of events, including weddings, dinner parties, house parties, restaurants, happy hours, cocktail hours.
I play a variety of songs from many eras in a jazzy style. Not limited to jazz standards, I also play pop tunes, classic rock songs, latin and some oldies. Please see my SONGLIST page for samples and a list. A typical Set might include, Take 5, ain't Nobody, Feels So Good, Besame Mucho, Green Dolphin Street and Stairway to Heaven
My tone and style have been compared to Paul Desmond, Dave Koz, Dexter Gordon, Earl Bostic and Stan Getz.
